My final day in Chicago has taught me a lot. From sore feet to rumbling bellies, sometimes life is full of compromises. But that's not necessarily a bad thing -- I got as much out of my time in Chicago for myself as anyone else, if not more. It served as a reflective period as well as an eye-opening week. Take the initiative, experience the world.
The second day in Chicago was more of a mental shift than anything. Being away from acquainted people for an extended period of time can definitely start to make you feel homesick or even people sick.
Excited to go to Chicago over spring break alone, I show you just how simple packing for a trip really is. There's no need to bring everything you have in your home because most of it really isn't needed. Sacrificing convenience and comfort for experience is well worth it.
